Scroll

The scroll is a special resource used to unlock new soldier types at the Research Center.

What is a Scroll?

The scroll is a progression resource shown in your profile alongside your other resources.

Unlike the basic resources (iron, stone, wood, food):

No passive production — no building generates scrolls automatically.
No storage cap — you keep every scroll you earn.
Cannot be looted in attacks.

New players start the game with 1 scroll, and their initial Castle is unbuilt (level 0).

How to Earn Scrolls

Castle upgrades (main source). Each time you upgrade your Castle to a new level — including the initial build — you receive 1 scroll. The Castle goes up to level 20, granting 20 scrolls along the way. Combined with the 1 starting scroll, that's a total of 21 scrolls available without entering any events.

Event rewards. Some events (such as Wonder Tower) hand out scrolls to winners. The more events you participate in and place in, the more scrolls you earn beyond the Castle path.

Aside from these two sources, scrolls are not granted by regular missions, NPCs, or daily chests.

Spending Scrolls

Scrolls are spent to unlock new soldier types at the Research Center.

Before unlocking any soldier, you must build the Research Center in your castle. Unlocking each soldier type usually costs 1 scroll (on top of iron, stone, wood, and food). Each soldier is unlocked only once — after that, you can train it normally without spending more scrolls.

Important Notes

Scrolls are used only to unlock new soldier types.
Each new soldier typically costs 1 scroll to unlock.
Scrolls have no passive production; the only sources are Castle upgrades and event rewards.
There is no storage cap; scrolls cannot be looted in attacks.
New players start with 1 scroll and their Castle at level 0.
The Castle path (level 0 → 20) grants 20 scrolls; combined with the 1 starting scroll, that's a guaranteed 21 scrolls in total.
Unlocking more soldiers beyond that requires participating in events and placing in them.
